Swimming with the Fishes

We were up at whitewater towards palm springs, with our friends,
The Davis family, and we went to the fish ponds all the way back
in the canyon. At first we were walking around and enjoying Nature,
Then we ate some lunch. So then we decided to feed the fishy's, so
we got some fish food and the trout were so big. It was really cool
to see them swimming all around. At the edge of all but one pond
there are just rocks and no fences. so we were all trying to be careful
not to fall in. And right before lunch Daniel was messing around and
I told him that the if he fell in the fish would nip at him like food,
and that I wouldn't jump in because of the cold water. (Silly, HUH)
Well we were feeding the fish and Natalie got too close and she fell in.
So all I could do was jump in to get her. I didn't think to take out my cell
phone and keys out of my pocket. I just jumped in. I grabbed her and
started slipping down to the bottom of the pond, I grabbed a hold of
the rocks and pulled us both out. The fish were all around nipping at
us, which was weird. But at least she was OK. I pulled my cell phone
out of my pocket to dry it off and to my amazement it works. I can't
believe she fell in, when I was telling Daniel to be careful. I sure am
glad that she is still here with us, we are so blessed , I am glad that
nothing worse happened.
We did have Fun though, even though we swam with the fishes.

i'm glad you both are allright too! that's so scary-i did the same thing with sila a few years back when we visited in-laws and went to zion's national park. sila fell into what i thought was shallow water(we were walking along the river) and she never came back up, so i jumped into the river(baby nani in hand)and grabbed her out of there only to find out that we were all sinking in quick sand! it was too scary, but luckily we all made it out of there safely. and glad you did too!
